Opening February 5, 2012, Lanterman House will host a very special exhibition to celebrate the centennial of the Girl Scouts of America. Developed in conjunction with the LA Council's Heritage Committee, the exhibition will be on display through June 28, 2012.

All current and adult Girl Scouts are invited to a 100th Birthday Celebration for the Girl Scouts, to be held on Sunday, March 18 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Event admission is $5.00, includes a tour of the exhibition and refreshments, and current scouts will receive a patch. Please RSVP at your unit meeting, or to Christie Crahan @ 818-378-7669, in La Canada to Ellen @818-952-3030, and in La Crescenta to Kaila @ 818-808-3205.

The Girl Scout Centennial exhibit will feature historic photographs and other visuals, uniforms, books, dolls and a wealth of other memorabilia. It will lead the visitor through the history of the Girl Scouts, how the organization responded to the challenges of the 20th century, and how it remains vibrant today. Learn how the Girl Scouts have provided opportunities for learning and growth to the girls of our nation for 100 years.
Many badge requirements for current scouts concerning Julliette Low and GSA History can be satisfied by touring the exhibition.
